Space Resource Utilization Research Group

The Space In situ resource utilization (ISRU) group aims to perform research that will allow the utilization of the natural resources already available on the Moon, Mars and the asteroids. There are many areas which can benefit from such research, especially to enable future human space explorations.

Space Communication and GNSS Research Group

The Space Communication and GNSS Group at NSSTC has the capacity and infrastructure to utilize the expertise at the center as well as academics at UAEU to develop local capabilities in this area of research.

The on-board real time systems group uses the best industry practices on the specification, design, implementation and testing of mission critical systems to use in space systems.

Earth and Planetary Science Group

Key factors for life on Earth are the climate-environmental change, anthropogenic activity, the Ozone Layer, and the Earth Magnetic Field, just to name some of them. Also, other bodies of the Solar System and outer space may have analogy to Earth and/or potential impact to life on Earth

Ground Segment and Radio Observatory Group

The Ground Segment and the Radio Observatory Unit will be engaged in research and development related to the satellite ground station and the radio telescope array that will be collocated on the same NSSTC site.

In-Space Propulsion Group

The focus of the In-Space Propulsion Group is to perform research aimed at developing innovative in-space propulsion systems utilizing cutting-edge technologies and manufacturing techniques that meets the needs of the new Space era of small satellite.
